Opening doors for elderly people, stopping my car to let someone out into heavy traffic, helping someone older unload their packages at the grocery store, always saying thank you with a smile to wait staff, cashiers, etc. It has always made me feel good and I can tell by the smile that I get back that others enjoy it as well! Usually the only ones that will not respond are the toll booth toll takers. I always smile and thank them for taking my money but never get so much as a smirk. I guess they either must really hate their jobs or are just hired for their known grumpiness. Roger, have to say that I have been doing this almost all of my life. I totally agree with the Superintendent. But it's amazing to me that people everywhere don't already do this.
