So glad I found this article - sometimes the simplest truths sound paradoxical... sometimes downright "wt..?!" but you did a great job of articulating this one!

Thank you.

Blessings

So true, Roger!!
It's all feeling, feeling, feeling. Now...if we can just remember that when we are focused on things that don't feel so good... :)

It cracked me up to see the photo of the girl with the tiara - because that SO represents the feeling I adore and am creating (for me, but also for other women, too).

Much JOY,
Nina!

And, when you take it even one (giant :-)) step further, surprise:
The essence, what you really want, really have been searching for all your life is right here, right now

:-)

Joyfully -

Your eloquence on the subject jumped off the page for me. I immediately forward your post to a couple of very dear friends.

The pull towards the "new vehicle" is very seductive and, withuot awareness, it often "wins" out, only to be followed shortly thereafter with that old familiar "let down" feeling. Life is once again empty.

After many years (do I want to admit that I'm a slow learner?!?!) I get the essence more and more often and more and more readily. But...

With much appreciation for you!

Roger,

You are SO correct! I have recently been working with a Law of Attraction coach who was essentially trying to get me to understand the same thing. It's not the "action", "job", etc., -- we need to focus on how we would "feel" if we had those things or were doing those things. It's the "feeling" we want to attract, and it doesn't necessarily have to be limited by us to getting or doing "just one thing, or one way".

So GLAD I met you on Twitter recently! (Actually, my alter-ego, a long-haired dachshund met you on Twitter.)

Terrific explanation, Roger!

Understanding that much of what we do is simply seeking to fill an unmet need can help us to live our lives more purposefully. And the paradox of that is, the desire to live our lives purposefully can become just another unmet need!

By learning to love what "is", and feeling the sensations of fulfilled needs, and truly, madly, deeply falling in love with ourselves, we can cease the seeking begin be-ing. Big stuff! ;-)
